I went down to get one and they would not let me keep my current plan with
unlimited data and it would have ended up costing me $30.00 more with
unlimited text and I don't even use text messages anymore.

REALLY old one. Something like 800 minutes, 100 texts, sprint-to-Sprint.
I don't have a smartphone presently so my current plan pretty much goes
out the window if I get anything much more involved than my current
Rumor2.

450 minutes @ $39.?? + $40.00 unlimited phone as modem with no 5G limit.
